The following is an excerpt from Daniel’s autobiography
“Daniel Michael Holtz entered this world on the sad day of November 22, 1963. He was the proud son of a loving father and mother. His father was a coal miner in Kentucky, his mother a nurse. They instilled within Daniel a strong work ethic and the value of a dollar. Daniel was a serious but kind boy growing up who had many friends. His parents provided for him as best as they could, and when Daniel was eleven he took on his first job of a paper route to help the family. On the morning of March 9th, 1976 there was an explosion in the Scotia Mine that tragically claimed the life of his father.
At the age of fifteen Daniel took on a job at a local restaurant as a bus boy. He worked long hours to support his family and saved every penny he could. By the time he was seventeen he was working as a mechanic and had started to use his saved money to make smart investments. Soon he put himself through college and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. Daniel took his degree and quickly signed to Dow Chemical. He rose through the ranks of the company meteorically before being given the position of CEO of Dow Water & Process Solutions. Daniel’s quick rise was not unnoticed, and after his success at Dow Water he was courted by many different firms. After years of leading some of the most successful and innovative companies in the world Daniel has finally decided to create this one of a kind business, DMH Inc…"
